Platform Development

Over the last 6 years The Hub has been developing and refining a unique kiosk platform. At the heart of our platform is our proven software application. This suite is made up of a three tier IT structure consisting of Middleware / Database / Integrated EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and supported by a secure hosting farm.

The platform has access to a suite of software functions:

The software suite is capable of accepting a wide variety of web-enabled data feeds and processes card and cash payments securely. All our units are chip and pin accredited.

The core administrative application underpinning our ability to provide all other software applications rests on The Hub's proprietary Remote Management and Monitoring system (RMM). This application dynamically enables location specific messages and rich media content to be displayed, provides the ability to view individual units and logs, allows the management of cash and provides the ability to add or delete users as well as modify user privileges. The RMM application is written in Java and utilises IBM Websphere Application Community Edition IBM DB2 Express-C and DB2 or alternatively, Apache and MYSQL.
